Featuring inks

Photo printer is equipped with a print head using the technology FINE, which provides detailed, grain-free photo printing. Pigment inks LUCIA provide impressive results with exceptional durability of the image. The 10 inks can reproduce extremely wide colour range, which contributes to the images being lively and having fine details. In the printed area of the gloss or semi-gloss paper is commonly used the colourless ink Chroma Optimizer. This increases the density of black, expands the colour gamut and produces photographic prints with a perfectly uniform gloss finish.

Tune the colours

The new regime PRO (colour profile of the printer control) helps to ensure accurate alignment of the printed colours, which are shown on the screen. To achieve even greater colour accuracy, you can create unique profiles ICC or even fine-tune the printer software using the Colour Management Tool Pro. Supported are the original Canon photo papers. Additionally, you can download ICC profiles for many Canon papers from well known manufacturers such as Hahnemühle, Ilford and Canson.

Other supported services are Apple AirPrint and also Google Cloud Print, if you have access to the Internet. Download forms and other templates directly from the service PIXMA Cloud.
